who we are

We’re owned by a mother-daughter team with over 50 years of combined experience in the tailoring industry. As passionate hand knitters (Clare has crafted over 100 garments in just 3 years), we’ve also been providing Australia’s exclusive Knitwear invisible mending service for the past two decades.
After creating Queensland's largest and most trusted clothing alterations service, we decided to take a break from our work. Our current mission centers around slow fashion. Through our extensive experience, we’ve witnessed beautiful clothes going to waste simply because they aren’t well-maintained or repaired. To combat this, we’ve assembled a team of skilled tailors and repair specialists, each specializing in different types of mending.
Our goal is to empower people to care for their luxurious garments and reduce the environmental impact of fast fashion. That’s why we’ve chosen to focus on invisible mending and repairs for high-end clothing. Our mantra? “Buy less, buy better, and take good care of what you have.

We are dedicated to the slow fashion movement

The Australian clothing landscape reveals a concerning trend: on average, each person purchases 56 clothing items annually, predominantly crafted from non-sustainable and non-durable materials.

Simultaneously, clothing prices continue to plummet year after year, exacerbating the environmental repercussions caused by the fashion industry.

According to Greenpeace, individuals now acquire 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago, yet retain these garments for only half as long.

By having your clothes repaired, you are helping to break the cycle of the wastefulness of fast fashion.

Why you should use invisible mending

  • For cherished garments with sentimental value, invisible mending allows you to maintain their original appearance without visible patches or alterations.

  • When dealing with high-quality fabrics (such as wool, leather, or cashmere), invisible mending ensures that the repair is seamless and doesn’t compromise the fabric’s integrity.

  • Repairing rather than replacing expensive clothing saves money. Invisible mending extends the life of your favorite pieces, making them worth the investment.

  • By mending instead of discarding, you contribute to a more sustainable fashion cycle. It aligns with slow fashion principles and reduces textile waste.
