Silk/cotton/synthetic blends

Unfortunately, these fabrics are woven with rigid fibres, and it is likely invisible mending cannot be achieved.

Most commonly, we'd reenforce the damaged area with a similar fabric underneath, and stitch over the top to make sure the fabric is stable and strong again. This is always a visible mend. However, there are often creative ways we can hide the damaged area, for example:  the garment has a busy print of texture, hide it in a seam if it is close to a seam, make a dart, replace the area with another fabric that is similar or complementary, etc.

The cost and result will need assessed on an individual basis.

Jeans / Denim

Like cotton, denim mending will always be visible. But that doesn't mean you should throw away your favourite jeans! The most common places are the crotch and pockets. We can reenforce the crotch of the jeans to mend the hole. It will look visible and the fabric a little thicker, but no one will know but you. The inside linings of the pockets can also be easily replaced. If you snag your jeans anywhere else, and you don't want a ripped jean look, we can always mend it to reduce the distressed look.

Crotch mending from $70

Holes from $50 each
